I think I bought the same shoes. How did you modify them as it seems that the straps can’t be adjusted even when I poke holes in them, they are large? It’s a major complaint from other reviewers on urbn.com I don’t want to give them away as they are too cute but I can’t wear them either. Did you bring them to a shoe repair place to fix them?

I modified them myself by cutting and removing the strap the goes down the center as well as two straps that covered the foot. With the remaining straps that follow the calf I just let them droop like the free people knee high gladiatiors. Worked out well for me, it was fairly easy, you should give it a try!
